The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) Paid Leave Division is organizing a series of employer engagement sessions across the state. The sessions are designed to inform employers about the upcoming Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML) program, provide updates, answer questions, and gather feedback from participants.

The engagement sessions will take place in several cities including Moorhead, Willmar, Worthington, St. Cloud, Buffalo (Wright County), Winona, Rochester, St. Paul, Bloomington, Mankato, and Duluth. Dates range from September 15 through October 24, 2025. Each session will be held at local venues such as conference centers and city halls.

According to DEED's announcement: "The purpose of these sessions is for the Paid Leave Division to connect with employers and share updates about Minnesota’s upcoming Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML) program. DEED will provide an overview of the PFML program, answer questions, and allow employers to share their thoughts."

Interested parties are required to register for each event through DEED’s registration page. More information on other public engagement events hosted by DEED can be found at their website.

These events are part of ongoing efforts by state agencies to engage stakeholders before new employment policies take effect.
