The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Minnesota is hosting its annual Small Business Day in St. Paul on March 11th at 9:30 a.m. The event will take place at the organization's new office, located in the Infor Commons, 10th Floor Conference Room, 380 St. Peter Street.
Key topics to be discussed include advocacy for delaying Paid Family Medical Leave, addressing a forthcoming budget deficit, and navigating the political landscape with a GOP one-seat majority in the State House and a Democrat one-seat majority in the State Senate. NFIB State Director Jon Boesche will lead these discussions alongside State Senator Rich Draheim and Representative Dave Baker, both of whom are NFIB members.
Ben Abrahamson, NFIB Grassroots Manager, will provide an update on federal issues affecting small businesses. Attendees are encouraged to bring their ideas and questions to engage with lawmakers and advocate for their business interests.
Those interested in meeting with lawmakers after the event can contact Lori Kiesow via email at lori.kiesow@nfib.org. For registration assistance or further inquiries, Ben Abrahamson can be reached at 218-969-5121 or ben.abrahamson@nfib.org.
