NFIB Minnesota is organizing a legislative session update webinar scheduled for Tuesday, April 29 at noon CT. The webinar will feature NFIB State Director Jon Boesche, who will discuss significant topics such as the reform or delay of Paid Family Medical Leave and Earned Sick and Safe Time, as well as the projected $6 billion budget deficit in 2028 and the ongoing budget battle.
With Paid Family Medical Leave already in effect since January 1, 2025, the event aims to inform participants about actionable steps for advocating reform.
NFIB Grassroots Manager Ben Abrahamson will provide insights on how to engage with federal lawmakers concerning the 20% Small Business Deduction. This deduction is set to expire at the end of the year unless Congress takes action. Participants will hear about the potential impact of the tax deduction and the significance of advocacy.
The webinar is free to attend, and participants are encouraged to bring their questions and comments. Those in need of assistance with registration can contact Grassroots Manager Ben Abrahamson at 218-969-5121 or via email at ben.abrahamson@nfib.org.
"Bring your questions, the issues you face, and comments and we will see you then!"
