City of Eden Prairie issued the following announcement on March 18.
The City is now accepting nominations for the 2022 Heritage Preservation Award. The award program recognizes an individual, family or business who has made an outstanding contribution to the preservation, rehabilitation, restoration and use of Eden Prairie's heritage resources. The deadline for nominations is 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 15. Visit edenprairie.org/HeritageAward for more details about the award program and the nomination criteria.
Public Art Call for Artists
The City is seeking innovative artists for its Rotating Art Series. Installations, some of which are temporary, are intended to infuse art into the daily lives of residents and visitors, and to engage the community in discussions about the value of art in defining a sense of place. The City recently welcomed Steve Kartak as Eden Prairie's new building official. Steve previously worked for the City of Edina and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
