Ending jobs for Minnesotans is madness according to Ian Prior, spokesman for The Empowerment Alliance.
Prior released his statement following a report from Politico’s Morning Energy that Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minneapolis) urged Biden to "stop Line 3."
"At its core, the debate about Line 3 is about one specific issue: climate change," Omar said in a letter according to Morning Energy. "Under even the best-case scenarios for climate change, we cannot afford to build more fossil fuel infrastructure."
"It's clear that Ilhan Omar is more focused on serving radical environmental special interests than she is in the availability of thousands of well-paying jobs for Minnesotans,” Prior said.
“With people's livelihoods already sacrificed to those same special interests with the cancellation of the Keystone XL Pipeline, it would be pure lunacy to kick thousands more hard-working Minnesotans to the curb in the middle of a pandemic to satisfy Omar's radical anti-worker agenda."
