Wright County Taxpayer Services announced on Apr. 24 that several payment methods are available for real property taxes, which are due by Friday, May 15. The office urges property owners to select the most suitable option and ensure payments are made on or before the deadline to avoid late penalties.

The county says offering multiple payment options aims to make the process more convenient for residents and help them avoid unnecessary fees.

Payments can be mailed by check, but must be postmarked no later than May 15. Wright County Taxpayer Services warns that many post offices use a servicing center, which may delay postmarking by two to three days after mail pickup. Residents are advised to plan accordingly when mailing their payments.

Online payments are accepted through a secure portal accessible at https://web.co.wright.mn.us/proptax/. Property owners can pay using e-checks for a $1 fee or credit/debit cards with a 2.5 percent fee. The portal allows users to search for their statement using either their Parcel ID or address.

In-person payments can be made at the Taxpayer Services counter during regular business hours using cash, check, or credit card (with the same card fee as online). A secure drive-up drop box is also available around the clock at the northwest corner of the Government Center; only checks should be deposited in this box and cash is not accepted.

For further assistance or questions about tax payments, residents can contact Wright County Taxpayer Services directly at (763) 684-8617.
