Wright County announced on Apr. 15 that the 2026 construction season has begun, with many drivers expected to be affected by various road projects throughout the area.

The county said that ongoing and upcoming construction may lead to lane closures and detour routes, potentially causing delays for motorists. To help residents and commuters navigate these changes, Wright County GIS has introduced an interactive Highway Construction Viewer.

The viewer provides details on all Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), county, and city road projects scheduled for 2026. It includes links to individual project webpages as well as information about each project’s scope and estimated completion timelines.

Officials encourage those who will be traveling in or through Wright County during the construction season to consult the map before planning their routes. The tool is designed to give users timely updates so they can make informed decisions about their travel plans.

As work progresses throughout the year, more information will be added to keep residents aware of changes in traffic patterns or new developments related to ongoing projects.
