Mike Lindell, CEO of MyPillow, announced that his news platform, LindellTV, has obtained Pentagon press credentials. He said this development on the social media platform X, asserting that his outlet will continue to report to the public despite facing criticism from several major outlets.
"The Fake News media is having a TOTAL MELTDOWN because LindellTV is now officially credentialed to report from inside the Pentagon," said Lindell. "CNN, NPR, Politico, WaPo, NYT - they all WALKED OUT because they couldn't control the narrative. THEY'RE SCARED because we're going to report the TRUTH to the American people! This is just the beginning!"
The Pentagon's credentialing rules require media outlets to sign a new access policy and obtain badges through Press Operations. In October 2025, outlets that refused to comply vacated their offices while a new press corps was announced, which included LindellTV. According to the Washington Post, dozens of mainstream organizations rejected these rules. Pentagon officials confirmed that conservative and independent outlets like LindellTV were granted access under the new policy. The rules and credentialing process have been contentious as press groups have raised objections.
At least 30 news organizations declined to sign the Pentagon’s new policy by October 15, 2025. Officials reported that more than 60 journalists did sign on; however, criteria in the policy allow for revocation if reporters seek certain unclassified information. Reuters reported that journalists chose to turn in their badges and vacate the building rather than accept these terms, while the Pentagon defended them as necessary measures. These figures illustrate the composition and approval standards of the current press corps.
Historically, federal credential disputes have been overturned in court. Between 2019 and 2020, the White House suspension of Playboy correspondent Brian Karem’s hard pass was enjoined and later struck down on due process grounds. The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press noted that courts required clear, published standards before credentials could be revoked—a principle influencing challenges to newer policies. This episode serves as a key precedent for press-access litigation.
