Rep. Ilhan Omar, currently serving as the U.S. Congress representative for Minnesota’s 5th district, has conveyed congratulations and shared critical viewpoints in her recent social media engagements.

On April 7, 2025, Omar extended her congratulations to Minnesota basketball star Paige Bueckers. In her tweet, she wrote: "Congratulations to Minnesota’s basketball star, Paige Bueckers, on finishing out an incredible college basketball career with a national championship win this weekend! We’re so proud of you and can’t wait to see what’s next in your bright future!”

On April 8, 2025, Omar praised Amy Cooper, a constituent from Minnesota, for receiving the MN Wilma Rudolph Courage Award. Her statement was: “Proud to honor my constituent, Amy Cooper, for winning the MN Wilma Rudolph Courage Award. Her commitment to expanding opportunities for girls and women in sports is truly inspiring. We could not be more proud of her for this accomplishment! #MinnesotaMinute”

Lastly, on the same day, Omar raised concerns regarding the Pentagon's financial accountability and criticized former President Trump's fiscal decisions. In the tweet, she asserted: “The Pentagon has failed seven audits in a row, and Trump’s solution? Hand them a $1 trillion check like it’s Monopoly money. But sure, tell me again how we ‘can’t afford’ universal school lunches, student debt relief, or even Medicaid.”
