Rep. Ilhan Omar, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota’s 5th district since 2019, shared her views on several pressing issues through a series of tweets. Her statements covered topics ranging from workers' rights to climate change and budget policies.

On February 12, 2025, Rep. Omar expressed her commitment to workers' rights by announcing her role as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Workforce Protections. She stated, "I’m honored to serve as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Workforce Protections." She emphasized her readiness to oppose efforts by Donald Trump and Elon Musk that she believes undermine workers’ rights.

Later that day, Rep. Omar addressed environmental concerns, criticizing fossil fuel corporations for their profits amidst climate crises. She declared, "Fossil fuel corporations are raking in record profits, fueling climate disasters, and getting billions in handouts." She called for an end to such subsidies and accountability for polluters.

On February 13, 2025, Rep. Omar commented on the Republican budget proposal. She described it as detrimental to essential social services while benefiting wealthy entities: "The Republican budget is a blueprint for American decline." Her critique focused on proposed cuts to food assistance, Medicaid, and education alongside tax reductions for corporations and billionaires.
