After Quinn Nystrom, candidate for the Eighth Congressional District, mocked the disabled, the Minnesota Republican Party released a statement asking for an apology.
“MN DFL Eighth Congressional District candidate Quinn Nystrom crossed a major line when she mocked Congressman Pete Stauber’s hearing loss and use of a hearing aid. Ms. Nystrom needs to apologize immediately for her behavior," the Minnesota GOP said in a press release from the Republican Party of Minnesota.
Stauber's hearing loss is a result of his time serving Minnesota as a police officer for 23 years and shouldn't be mocked.
"Nystrom showed her appreciation for that service by belittling him on social media for adjusting his hearing aid during a debate on Monday," the Minnesota GOP said in the press release. “Democrat Quinn Nystrom has zero chance of winning this race and has resorted to shameful bullying. To mock someone for a disability is out of bounds in Minnesota politics and she should be ashamed of her actions.”
