Hampton (Dakota County) home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Hampton in Dakota County rose by $67,250 while total sales increased by 100%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $252,500 - a 36.3% increase over the $185,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Hampton in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Hampton for 2018 was $2,422. In 2014, the median sales tax was $2,076. This marks an increase of 16.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1%.
