The University of St. Thomas men’s hockey program announced its 2026-27 National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) schedule on Apr. 22, featuring matchups against ten nationally ranked teams. The Tommies will begin conference play on the road at Miami on October 30.

This upcoming season is significant as it marks the team’s first year in the NCHC and its fifth competing at the Division I level. The schedule includes notable home games, such as hosting North Dakota—last year’s Frozen Four participant—on November 13-14, and a series against Omaha Mavericks in December, which will be their first-ever meeting on the ice.

Other highlights include an away series versus reigning national champion Denver Pioneers on November 20-21 and a two-weekend homestand in January against Western Michigan Broncos, who won the national championship in 2025, followed by Miami. Head Coach Rico Blasi brings experience from his previous tenure at Miami, where he led that program to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances.

The Tommies’ regular season closes with a home-and-home series against St. Cloud State at the end of February. Their performance last season saw them achieve over twenty wins for the first time and reach their second consecutive CCHA Mason Cup Final.

The entire NCHC Tournament will take place at campus sites of higher-seeded teams beginning March 5-7 with quarterfinals, followed by reseeding for semifinals and culminating in a championship game hosted by the highest remaining seed later that month.

Non-conference opponents for St. Thomas are expected to be announced soon.
