The Summit League office announced on May 1 that two St. Thomas men’s golf athletes have been recognized for their performances this season. Senior Owen Rexing was named to the All-Summit League Second Team, marking his second career all-league selection, while sophomore Tyler McNeive earned an All-Summit League Honorable Mention.
These honors highlight the achievements of both players during a competitive season. Rexing led the Tommies with a scoring average of 72.56, which placed him seventh in the conference. He also recorded a team-high 14 rounds at or below par and secured two top-10 finishes, including a podium spot at the Rutherford Intercollegiate. Rexing tied with teammates for the second-lowest single round score of the season (68) and is currently ranked No. 771 nationally according to Scoreboard by Clippd.
McNeive closely followed with a scoring average of 72.63 over 27 rounds played. He posted 11 rounds at or below par and achieved two top-10 finishes, including fifth place at the Shocker Invitational where he helped lead St. Thomas to its only team tournament win this year. McNeive also scored a single-round low of 68 and is ranked No. 785 nationally by Scoreboard by Clippd.
St. Thomas will next compete in the Summit League Championship scheduled for May 3-5 at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona.
