Rep. Ilhan Omar, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Minnesota’s 5th district, shared her recent activities through a series of tweets. Omar, who has been in office since 2019 after succeeding Keith Ellison, provided updates on her engagements and initiatives in Minnesota during the week of January 27-31.

On February 1, 2025, Rep. Omar tweeted about her weekly activities in Minnesota: “Here’s what I’ve been up to this week in Minnesota (Jan 27-31):”.

In another tweet posted on the same day, she expressed enthusiasm for engaging with students: “One of the best parts of my job is meeting with students across the district! I met with students at Justice Page Middle School and Sullivan STEAM Magnet School to talk about how we can work to create the positive change they want to see.”

Rep. Omar also hosted a town hall meeting in Fridley, as noted in her February 1 tweet: “I hosted my first town hall of the year in Fridley to provide an update on my work in DC and hear directly from community members about how I can best support them in Congress.”
