Brad Finstad, Representative of Minnesota, said that the One Big Beautiful Bill fulfills voter priorities on taxes, security, and accountability, describing it as a historic win for his district. His remarks were made on X.
“The bill we passed today delivers exactly what Americans voted for: lower taxes, secure borders, energy independence, and strong national security, while also placing much-needed checks on Washington’s waste, fraud, and abuse,” said Finstad. “I was proud to vote yes on this historic WIN for #MN01.”
The One Big Beautiful Bill, enacted in July 2025, is a comprehensive legislative package. According to Politico, it delivers permanent tax cuts, allocates $150 billion for border security, expands domestic energy incentives, and imposes new oversight requirements on federal agencies. The bill combines Republican priorities on security and taxes with bipartisan measures for energy production and government accountability.
According to the Congressional Budget Office, the bill will lower effective tax rates for most Americans, double border security funding, encourage oil and gas production through new tax credits, and require annual public audits for major federal agencies. This makes it a significant overhaul in tax, security, energy, and oversight policy.
Pew Research Center polling indicates that the One Big Beautiful Bill directly addresses top voter concerns in 2025. These include reducing taxes, strengthening border security, supporting affordable energy, and increasing government transparency. The bill aligns with the main priorities identified in recent national surveys.
Finstad is a Republican member of the U.S. House for Minnesota’s 1st District. He is a former USDA official and family farmer elected in 2022 with a focus on agriculture, rural economic growth, and fiscal responsibility.
