One of the key announcements is the expansion of the county’s food waste drop-off program to New York Mills. The county is also seeking public input on its draft roadway safety plan, inviting community members to participate in shaping local transportation safety measures.

For those interested in local government proceedings, Board of Commissioners meetings are available for viewing on YouTube. Videos can be accessed through the Board of Commissioners page or via the Public Meetings playlist, with chapters allowing viewers to navigate directly to specific agenda items. These videos remain accessible for three months after each meeting.

Upcoming events include a Highway 8 Open House in Perham scheduled for May 4 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., as well as Board of Commissioners meetings set for May 12 and May 26 at 8:30 a.m., and a Planning Commission meeting on May 13 at 6:00 p.m.
