The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has expressed concern about Senate File 4126, a bill introduced in Minnesota that would retroactively penalize companies for legal emissions made decades ago.

“At a time when Minnesota’s small businesses are already struggling with rising costs, our state cannot afford a policy that punishes reliable, affordable energy and sends the bill to Main Street businesses,” said NFIB Minnesota State Director Jon Boesche. “If this policy ever comes to fruition, it will result in higher energy costs for small businesses and higher prices for the goods we depend on every day.”

The NFIB – Minnesota advocates for the interests of small business owners in state policy and legislation. The organization provides resources and updates on issues such as labor mandates and tax policies, and works to influence policy through advocacy against regulations it considers burdensome. More information can be found on their official website.

Jon Boesche serves as the state director for NFIB – Minnesota. The group represents small business owners across the state and aims to address legislative matters that may impact their operations.
