The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is organizing a public meeting to discuss the London Road/Hwy 61 project in Duluth. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 12, at 5:30 p.m. It will take place in the auditorium of Duluth East High School, located at 301 N. 40th Ave. E.

The construction for the London Road project is planned for 2026-27 and will cover the area from 26th Avenue East to 60th Avenue East. The project includes the installation of roundabouts at both 26th Avenue East and 40th Avenue East, additional left turn lanes, pedestrian enhancements, drainage improvements, among other features. During the public meeting on February 12, updates about the project will be shared along with information on detours during construction and landscaping plans.

For those who cannot attend in person, materials from the meeting will be available on MnDOT’s project website at mndot.gov/d1/projects/londonroad.
