Minnesota Wild recalls Hunter Haight and Matt Kiersted from Iowa Wild

The Minnesota Wild announced on Apr. 12 that forward Hunter Haight and defenseman Matt Kiersted have been recalled from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League.

The move brings two players with both NHL and AHL experience back to the club as it prepares for its next game. This roster adjustment comes ahead of Minnesota’s matchup against the St. Louis Blues scheduled for Monday, April 13.

Haight, age 22, made his National Hockey League debut on October 9 against St. Louis this season and has recorded one assist in seven games with Minnesota. He tallied his first career NHL point with an assist versus Chicago on March 19. In the AHL, Haight has accumulated 32 points in 51 games for Iowa this season, ranking second on the team in goals and power-play goals, as well as fifth in overall scoring. He also represented Iowa at the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic.

Kiersted, age 27, has played four games with Minnesota this season and registered one assist. In addition to his time in the NHL, he has appeared in 49 games for Iowa this year where he ranks tied for first on the team in shots on goal and tied for second with a plus-2 rating. Over five seasons split between Florida Panthers and Minnesota Wild organizations at the NHL level, Kiersted has eight points across forty-three games.

The team will face off against St. Louis Blues at home Monday night at FanDuel Sports Network and KFAN FM 100.3.
