Representative Ilhan Omar, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently shared updates on her activities and concerns via social media. Omar represents Minnesota’s 5th district and has been an active voice on various issues.

On March 21, 2025, Omar expressed gratitude for the community engagement at a town hall event in Minneapolis. She noted the significant participation, stating “What an incredible turnout! Thank you to the over 500 people who showed up and participated in our in-person town hall in Minneapolis this evening. And a special thank you to our local leaders who joined us for this important conversation with our neighbors.”

Later that day, Omar highlighted her visit to Chromatic 3D Materials in Golden Valley. She remarked on the company’s contributions to national security through its partnership with the U.S. Army, sharing “It was incredible to visit Chromatic 3D Materials in Golden Valley. They’re a leading company in 3D printing working to strengthen our national security in partnership with the U.S. Army.”

In another post on March 21, she criticized an executive order by Donald Trump concerning USAID. She stated that it threatens Minnesota jobs and commodities as well as humanitarian work conducted by local organizations. Omar commented “Donald Trump’s illegal Executive Order to shut down USAID puts at risk Thousands of Minnesota jobs Millions of dollars in Minnesota commodities The humanitarian work of 18 Minnesota organizations It’s unacceptable.”
