Chisago County announces programs to support industrial business growth

Chisago County announced on Apr. 3 a range of programs aimed at helping industrial businesses start and expand within the county.

The initiative is designed to make it easier for businesses of all sizes to access resources and financial support, which could encourage economic development in the region.

According to the announcement, Chisago County offers several tools including Forgivable Industrial Loans, Tax Abatement programs that provide temporary property tax rebates, and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) to help cover development costs using future tax value. The county also works with partners such as the Initiative Foundation, East Central Regional Development Commission (ECRDC), and the Small Business Administration (SBA) so that businesses can access additional loans, grants, and personalized support.

Each city within Chisago County may have its own incentive programs available for local businesses. The county team actively seeks extra grants and funding opportunities in order to keep projects affordable for entrepreneurs at any stage.
