Canadian Pacific Railroad will close County State Aid Highway 6 at the railroad crossing south of Highway 55 in Corinna Township starting May 12, according to an announcement from the Wright County Highway Department. The closure is expected to last through Friday, May 15, and is subject to weather conditions.

The closure will affect traffic in the area as no detour will be posted. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes during this period. The work schedule may change depending on weather conditions.

The Wright County Highway Department said anyone with questions can call their office at 763-682-7383 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

“We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding while this project is being completed,” the department said.

The temporary closure aims to allow Canadian Pacific Railroad to complete necessary work at the crossing safely and efficiently. Further updates may be provided if there are changes to the schedule.
